Mark McCairn (MBA, PhD, BSc)
Mark cofounded and Leads Chromition with responsibility for heading business development and operational activities. Mark has structured & secured equity investment, non-dilutive funding, development contracts and multiple technical partnerships. Previously, having experience managing a technology portfolio for the University of Manchester commercialisation office and as a consultant/project-lead that contributed to a spin-out’s initial growth to IPO.
Benjamin Lidster (PhD, MSc, BSc)
Benjamin is Chromition’s Principal Scientist that leads the company’s technical effort, product design and patent exemplification. Additionally, he is industrial supervisor to two PhD student based in the School of Chemistry at the University of Manchester. Benjamin has 5 years’ experience in the design, synthesis and application of novel π-conjugated organic materials and has worked in the Organic Materials Innovation Centre, one of the five UK centres of excellence and laboratories internationally.
Mark Frost (MBA, BSc)
Mark is Chromition’s Chairman who previously co-founded and built ColorMatrix Europe Ltd, a specialist polymer colorant and additive company from a start up in Manchester in 1993 to a $200M business when sold in Dec 2011 for $486M. Started as operations director and then took over business and technology development. Instrumental in 3 acquisitions (UK, Finland and Argentina) and 2 sale processes (1st to Private Equity, 2nd to Wall Street listed multinational).
Michel Turner (FRS, PhD, BS)
Michael is cofounder and non-executive technical advisory director of Chromition with 15 years’ experience in the synthesis & application of novel optoelectronic materials. Over the last 10 years leading OMIC, one of the five UK centres of excellence in printed electronics, has raised over £10M in grant income from funding agencies, over £3M from >100 industrially funded projects and consulted for a number of SMEs and multinationals from his industrial network.
